That's cool looking the way you left it on the sketchbook,I don't know what it is about it,but I love the way that looks. The character and scythe are awesome too,I would totally want to play as him in a game. As for the whole sketching it out on paper and then doing it digitally thing? That's actually how I do my digital pieces,because I'm not very good at drawing things digitally,although to be fair,I don't have a graphics tablet,so it's just easier for me to draw it on paper first and then trace over it with a mouse in a vector program. Anyway,love this one,good job.

This is really good,but it doesn't look like he's sad,more like he's blasting something up in the sky. The texture in the parts between the S is a nice touch,as is the texture on the rocky thingies ( don't know the proper name for those),and the pose and coloring are awesome.

Cool idea for him and done very very well,that hand effect is something else,also I love your mid development gif,that is a neat way to show how you did it.
